About CK Powersports
My name is Corey Kruse and I’m the owner of CK Powersports in Lincoln. For as far back as I can remember I’ve had an interest in powersports. I spent a lot of time as a kid working on powersports, specifically snowmobiles, with my dad and brothers. I also worked in my parent’s hardware store on all sorts of different things with motors. I loved taking things apart and figuring out how they worked.
This love led me to the University of Nebraska- Lincoln to begin studying Mechanical Engineering. While at UNL, I was heavily involved in the student group Baja SAE. This group worked to design and build an off-road vehicle to compete in world-wide competitions each year. During my junior and senior year, I was the president of Baja which I truly enjoyed. I was also able to serve as faculty advisor for Baja while I studied for a master’s and then PhD.
I also met and married my wife, Mary, in college. After about a year of marriage and while both of us were still in school, we found out we were expecting twins. To help ease some of the financial burden, I started flipping atvs on the side out of our garage. I continued doing this more and more, all while finishing my PhD at UNL.
What started as flipping one atv at a time in my garage to help make ends meet slowly grew and is now a fully operational business with a shop and store front. I am grateful for the education I received at UNL and I’d like to think I’ve been putting it to good use. I love owning my own business and I truly enjoy what I do every day.
When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with Mary and our four children, twin boys and two little girls. We enjoy riding atvs and boating together, and are all huge Husker fans! Go Big Red! I also enjoy collecting and working on vintage atvs and snowmobiles.
